Best snorkelling spots end september

We will be in Oahu 11 days from now and I%26#39;m aware that beach conditions vary depending on the season.

I remember on a previous trip to the North shore ( back in June 1993!!) that there was good snorkelling on the North Shore, but on another trip one December only the bravest surfers would venture where we snorkelled in June.

Where are the best spots in September? ( And not keen on Hanuama bay, prefer less crowded spots please)

Shark%26#39;s Cove on North Shore should be OK in September.

Kuilima Cove at Turtle Bay Resort is good.
