What a wonderful place!

I truly hope we can go back someday!

We were there Aug 14-20. We stayed in the Aloha Beach Hotel, we had a Beautiful room on the ground floor and a gorgeous ocean view! The maid service was excellent! And some of the best food we ate on the island was at the snack bar at the hotel! Wonderful Fish tacos and Burgers! (the Mai Tai%26#39;s were great too!) The hotel is bumped right up next to Lydgate beach park, which was not very crowded and had great swimming!

It was great always having something to do, even if it was just exploring all the different beaches!

The only thing we had trouble with was trying to find the State Park on the west side of the island, we kept running into Air Force sites (I think that%26#39;s what they were) But I had heard you needed a good truck to actually get to it, so maybe next time :)

The Hiva Pasefika Luau was wonderful! We took tons of pictures and had great seats! Ive heard some people don%26#39;t like it because its in a tent, honestly after the show began I didn%26#39;t even notice anymore! The dancers and the Host were so enjoyable to watch, I never took my eyes off the stage! I would definitely see this show again!

Our day trip to Oahu was great! Though I%26#39;m not a big fan of Waikiki... It was so busy! Not for me :) Our tour guide Garfield with Polynesian adventures was excellent though! And seeing Pearl Harbor was so interesting, and sad. I%26#39;m so glad we made the special trip to visit the memorial.

Back in Kauai we saw as many of the beautiful sites as we could, though we need to go back to see the Napali Coast. That is my one regret of our trip, that we didn%26#39;t have time to do that! BUT!! It gives us something to look forward to the next time we go!

What a wonderful place!

Glad you had a great trip. We got home yesterday and I am in withdrawals already (with the exception of the humidity).

Polihale State Park was a bit hard for us to find last year. You take the right at the fork and then a left dowm a dirt road. It is drivable in a car but you need to take it slow.

What a wonderful place!

Aloha from Kaua%26#39;i!

Polihale State Park is past PMRF - there is a sign not much past the North Gate of PMRF that tells you when to turn.

Too bad - you missed one of the most beautiful beaches we have!

Malama Pono,

Janet
