Wings Over Kauai: An awesome air tour

Awesome, awesome experience!! Flying over Kauai is the best way to take in the entire island. Only about 25% of the island is reachable by foot or car.

With 2 young kids (10 and 7) who had not taken small plane or helicopter rides before we were debating between helicopter and air plane tour and we are glad we went with the airplane tour. And we are especially glad we chose ';Wings Over Kauai';.

The beauty and scenery that nature has bestowed upon this Garden Island and while any air tour will allow one to see it, what made the our trip unforgettable was the great professionalism of Bruce, the pilot and co-owner of Wings of Kauai. He clearly is an expert pilot and the flight was very safe and smooth.

Burce%26#39;s intimate knowledge of the island was very evident in the narration he gave throughout the flight. His tidbits and sense of humor made the commentary very informative and fun. He was very patient especially with our young sons who asked a lot of questions and he added to their excitement. Sitting in the co-pilot seat in the front was the highlight of the trip for my 10 year old.

The noise-free Bose headphones made the flight very enjoyable (Playing back the video we took told us how noisy it would%26#39;ve been without the headphones. I edited out the noise from my home vidoe when I transferred it to DVD). We were able to take several great pictures and the configuration of the aircraft allowed us to take steady and clear shots.

We were very touched with the warmth and kindness of Ellen, Bruce%26#39;s wife and co-owner and clearly the two of them form a great team and run a very good service with high regards to customer satisfaction. Their personal touches made us feel at home and like family and it greatly enhanced our experience.

We are very glad we went with Wings Over Kauai. Surely this was one of the top highlights of our trip to Kauai and we look forward to visiting the island in future.

We flew with Bruce on Friday for our anniversary and it was fantastic. I think I took over 200 pictures.

He and Ellen are two wonderfully warm individuals.
