Na Pali Catamaran tours -Leaving from the North shore

Hi, I am trying to decide on a catamaran tour of Na Pali. I read about several and called Na Pali Catamaran%26#39;s. I called them and the woman I spoke with told me that they were booked for the days I wanted (end of next week) and suggested the Sea Breeze out of Anini. I couldn%26#39;t find anything about this company online or in my books. Does anyone have any info?? Thanks so much!! This forum is awesome.

I don%26#39;t know anything about Seabreeze but there are two others leaving from Hanalei you can check out--Capt. Sundown and NaPali Coast Tours (formerly UFO)--they both get good marks...

I am on Kauai right now on a week vacation. I took the Na Pali tour today with Anini Fishing Charters and Tours. They have a office to book the tours in front of Big Save in Hanalei. It was great! The Na Pali coastline is breathtaking. The snorkeling is great as well. (3rd day in a row of snorkeling.)

We had snacks and sandwiches on the boat before returning. Everyone enjoyed it!!! As far as I have been told, its the only tour that leaves from the north shore. That saves you the drive around the island if you are staying on the north shore. The email I have on the card they gave us is charters@kauaifishing.com. Captain Rob is great! Gotta go - my Mai Tai is empty. 3 more days here on Kauai.

Somewhere in a previous thread, a poster advised against taking a tour from the North Shore, saying that the return trip was very rough. She advised the drive to Port Allen, and taking a tour from there.

Would this have something to do with the time of year?

Haven%26#39;t heard of many others from the North Shore, Captain Andy%26#39;s on the south. We are booked here on the Sept 11th tour might be the one you looked at

For everyone else coming soon, book things ahead, I have noticed alot of things fill up about a month in advance especially if you want a specific day/time!

I think the time of year had a lot to do with being able to leave from the north shore. Dont know if they do it in the winter. The ride back was a little rough - but everyone had a great time. I personally liked it.

I was told that if you leave from the south shore, you spend a larger part of the tour just travelling to the Na Pali coast and you dont get to see as much of it. But if you leave from the north shore, as soon as you pass Kee Beach, the coast begins.

We will be in Kauai the beginning of October and I called Napoli Catamaran and they said they end their tours the end of Sept. Does anyone know of tours going out in October from the North Shore as the South shore is a long drive for us.

Captain Sundown supposedly goes out year round depending on weather. Oct. is a borderline month and you can still get good conditions for sailing out of North Shore during the month. They cannot go into sea caves however.

North Shore Charters operates on the north shore and they operate year round, conditions permitting. They do go into the sea caves.

Hmm I am here right now, in fact styaing on Anini Beach, I haven%26#39;t seen any tour companies out of here. We are booked on Na Pali on Thursday so can give na update after that. I have heard good things from my family that was here. Yesterday though was rainy, rough and my friend were on the boat and said you couldn%26#39;t snorkle due to the waves and weather, it did clear up later and they saw lots of dolphins. There are swells on the south shore right now preventing us from scuba diving but should move out this weekend! I love it here!
