july 4th weekend

Hi all

Sorry about this, but I have what may seem some silly questions.

Would the period around the 4th July be considered peak period and if so would i be correct in saying that most of the resorts etc be full.

Would shops such as ABC be open on 4th July and would the some go for restauants.

We are staying at the Marriott in Kauai and would like to know before we get there if the place will be crawling with people.

June through August is generally fairly crowded. I don%26#39;t think the 4th makes much difference. The key is school summer vacations.

You won%26#39;t have trouble finding places like ABC or restaurants open. Better to just go to the stadium for the fireworks though with the rest of us.
