whales in late april/early may

I will be arriving in maui on apr 26 and leaving on may 3, 2008. I am interested in knowing whether or not there are still whales around?

Too bad. Maybe we will see some on the ferry to lanai.

I will be in Maui those exact same dates. I have pretty much given up on the hope of seeing any whales, but I am looking forward to seeing some dolohins when I go to Lanai as well.

We flew back on Sunday the 13th and was on Maui for a week. We saw whales just about every day.

Numbers are getting lower every day but I still see some out there. 8 days ago there were a couple right offshore at the end of Front Street in Lahaina %26amp; I spotted a couple of blow on the way home today.

We closed down the Papawai scenic outlook whale observation on Tuesday (April 15th) and were still seeing whales hourly, not ever 5 minutes. Whale watching cruises are still finding whales - Moms with calves and escort males. We also saw a very pregnant Hawaiian Monk Seal on Tuesday.

I%26#39;m joining a support group for whale watch withdrawal!

Maybe there is hope for me yet!!

we saw a couple of whales yesterday afternoon and about 6 whales this afternoon. one even put on a small show for us. we%26#39;re staying at the kapualua bay villas and saw them while having lunch on the lanai. very nice.

I saw several whale in 3-4 locations on my way home from Lahaina (to Wailuku) today. They are far fewer but still some here.
