Hey, we are going to be in Kauai for the Forth of July. Anyone know of a great place to see fireworks? Restaurant on the water, or a beach?

Koloagirl or pzp probably knows where the show will be. Where are you staying? I%26#39;ve heard they do it at a few locations but as an FYI, fireworks are legal to purchase on Kauai. You%26#39;ll see the stands around town.

Also, if you want to do your own thing (which is what we will do), you can buy fireworks everywhere on the island. Costco had the best deals but we also bought some last year at Big Save.
Aloha from Kaua%26#39;i!
The big show at the Vidinha Stadium is the only one on island really -- I was just told Monday night that the hula halau I am with is performing at it as well (gotta get my costume made!) - it is always lots of fun with crafts, food booths and live entertainment throughout. The fireworks show itself is fantastic and well worth it.
The low key way to do it would be just to hang out at any beach park and watch residents shoot of the fireworks that they bought at Costco or other locations - you wouldn%26#39;t believe how many fireworks Costco sold last fourth!!!

Wow, I had no idea they were legal!!! My kids are gonna be so shocked!! Out here in Az. they are a BIG NO NO.
I know people know this, but just in case one person doesn%26#39;t, don%26#39;t even try and bring fireworks home in your suitcase on the plane. No matter how much the kids beg and plead, it is a giant fine and imprisonment.
We bought a $25.00 package of fireworks at Costco last summer and it took us 5 nights to set them all off. Knowing we could not bring them back into California (thanks for the note on that jebett), we used them all up. The kids loved it and we get to repeat the performance this year!
