Kauai fishing

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any spots to fish for oama? We will be there in July and was hoping to catch a few for bait. Also is it okay to fish for baitfish at the Lydgate pond in the early morning before the crowds arrive?

At Anini, past the park and before you get to the end of the road. There%26#39;s an older couple that fish there very often early in the morning in summer. Actually, she does most of the fishing and he sits in the shade under the trees.

Also in Nawilwili harbor by the boat docks.

I wouldn%26#39;t try it at Lydgate, someone would probably say something to you.

Glad to hear someone else goes fishing on their Kauai vacation like we do! It%26#39;s so much fun and we meet up with really nice local folks too.
