Of the 7.3 million Hawaii visitors last year, 1.9 million were from California, according to the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. Following California, the states with the most Hawaii visitors were Washington, 380,290; Texas, 226,402; Arizona, 187,013; Oregon, 176,587; and Illinois, 145,456. Of the East Coast states, New York sent the most visitors to Hawaii, 125,205.
Who Goes to Hawaii?
Look for those west coast numbers to drop now that there is no more ';super duper'; cheap tickets that allowed long weekend trips.....just a hunch on my part of course.
