Helicopter Tour - Time of day?

Is one time of day any better than another for a helicopter tour? I am thinking of using Blue Hawaiian, if that makes a difference?

Thank you.

Helicopter Tour - Time of day?

We flew with Blue in February and would highly recommend them. The helicopters are very smooth with tremendous viewing. We flew at 9:00 AM. I would suggest going early in the day, rather than later because it can become cloudy in the afternoon. I would also suggest leaving your camera and buying their DVD. It allows you to enjoy the sights without worrying about taking pictures. The DVD is outstanding. We have watched ours several times since returning and are amazed each time we review the flight. Taking the helicopter flight over Kauai was probably the most impressive thing we have ever done in 35 years of travel. Doing the heli flight early in your stay will allow you to focus on things you would like to spend more time on such as the Waimea Canyon. Enjoy!!

Helicopter Tour - Time of day?

We went at around 10:00 a.m. on Blue Hawaiian back in August. Amazing flight and we were glad we went early because I was a little scared and apparently it gets bumpier and windier as the day progresses, as a general rule.

Have a great trip!

We flew Jack Harter, doors off, early morning and loved it.

Weather%26#39;s generally better early.

And if you book early and get weathered out, you might be able to reschedule later. If you book late and get weathered out, you may be out of choices.

Highly recommend Blue Hawaiian...we flew with them last week and were very impressed with the helicopter, the pilot and the tour! Our original flight was booked at 8 a.m., but was cancelled due to thunderstorms. We waited and went two days later in the afternoon. We were concerned when we saw how many clouds there were, but we had great visibility (flew under the clouds most of the time and only once or twice through them.) It really is an amazing experience! I would plan on a morning flight, but if you have to reschedule, don%26#39;t hesitate to go in the afternoon.

We did the Inter Island doors off Helicopter tour in the early morning before the clouds set in over the Napali coast. It was amazing. Inter Island is located in the west end of the island in Port Allen. It is closer to the Napali coast so you do not waste any air time flying over roads and towns. You are strapped in and taking pictures is better because you do not have the glare of the windows. Wear long pants and a sweat shirt, because it does get a little breezy. I would highly recommend this company for a helicopter flight. The only draw back is they do not have a video you can purchase. I found a video to buy from another company though and it was pretty good.

I second Inter Island and their doors off flights. We have gone up with them twice for their waterfall tour and each time is was excellent. I think both were mid-morning flights. I reccomend if you do the waterfall tour to bring long pants and a sweatshirt to wear on the trip back from the waterfall..only if you decide to swim in the waterfall.

Does anyone know if you could copy the DVD that you can purchase from Blue Hawaiian?

How long are you actually in the air on the helicopter tours, and for those with a waterfalls stop, how long are you at the waterfall?

thank you

we went with blue last week. Morning is the best. We had a 10 am time slot. helicopter arrived. The pilot and grounds guy did some work on side panal.. pilot comes over to us and says there is a problem with the latch on the door so will fly it over to airport and fix it and return. we waited 1 and half hours he comes back we load in and fly for five minutes and warning light comes on. The pilot says he has to abort the flight and we head back so very disappointed. They had us all go back to the office and re schedule. Some did the next day we hung around went for lunch and did a 3:30 fight. It was great. No disappointments and for all our wait and being patient they thru in two free t-shirts and a free dvd of our flight. A class act indeed.. Enjoy%26gt;%26gt;

Jc now in maui.. three more days then i have to go home%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;sad
