County to Close Kahalulu'u first Tuesday of each month

The County Parks, in an effort to prevent coral dammage and over use,

Starting June 3 2008 will close the lagoon to all swimming and snorkeling.. the first Tuesday of each month. This will potentialy be expanded to weekly if the program works.

Great! I know they do this at Hanauma Bay on Oahu. Anything to preserve this wonderful place is okay by me! We%26#39;ll just plan something else that day. I hope it works and they can do it once per week. Thanks for the heads up hawaiidan!
