Okay,so we don%26#39;t leave until August, but I like to plan ahead. Our plane comes in at Kahului at 11am. Where are some good places to eat lunch heading toward Wailea? We are staying at Fairmont Kea Lani. Also, and most important, what are some good beaches to hit? I%26#39;m sure we can%26#39;t check in until after 3pm at the earliest and I would love to get in some good beach time right away!
Thanks, Shelley

Realistically, you are looking at an hour to get bags %26amp; car + an hour to get to the Kea Lani, you are already at 1PM...
If it was me, I would go straight to the hotel, attempt to check-in, have them hold your bags if the room isn%26#39;t ready %26amp; go play at the pool, beach %26amp; bar at the hotel until the room is ready! The beach at the Kea Lani is fantastic so why go elsewhere when you can likely chek-in early if the room is cleaned %26amp; ready!!!!

There is plenty of places to eat on the way. Either in Kahului on Dairy Rd. or if you take S. Kihei Road on your way to the Kea Lani, you will found lots of restraunts. Also the ocean runs parallel to Kihei Rd. and you can stop any where along there for a quick dip if you so choose.
Thank you for the replies! I think it%26#39;s a good idea to go straight to the hotel. That makes sense. Can anybody recommend some good restaurants near the airport for our family of four, two adults and two kids? We will be hungry!
Thanks, Shelley
Get out of Kahului traffic as soon as possible snd drive to South Maui. Starting at Azeka shopping centers on S. Kihei Road at Pi`ikea Street and going South for two miles, there are dozens of restuarants in Kihei town.
