Rum & POG Juice?

Is this any good? I%26#39;m looking for an easy drink that I can mix up real quick without a blender or a bunch of other stuff. I%26#39;m thinking rum and POG juice would be pretty good, and really easy. Has anyone tried it? I would think light rum would be better in this drink than dark, but what do you guys think? Any other ideas for an easy, yet tropical, drink? Thanks!

That sounds really good. Shake it with some ice so it%26#39;s nice and cold. I think light rum is the way to go on that concoction.

first...I call it mongo-pongo joy juice... and you can use vodka, which I think is better because its less expensive and less sweet..and pog is well pretty darn sweet. lite rum??

mix 1.75 booze to 1 gallon POG... store in pitcher in freezer.... will not freeze... and you wont need a lot of Ice !!! at 20degrees its ready to drink.

it%26#39;s really good, we blend it up with fresh pinapple and ice and some of the frozen pog concentrate and call it a ';Pogtail.'; It%26#39;s our favorite! Definately use light rum and the coconut rum is really good in it.

As a matter of fact, rum goes pretty good with any sweet beverage; but can be intense when the mixer is just basically flavored sugar water.

Dan%26#39;s recipe with vodka is superior just to cut down on the diabetes factor.

Remember, POG is NOT JUICE, it contains about 10% ';real'; juice (basically natural sugar fluids) and 90% sugar water.

Yep - it%26#39;s tasty. We call it the ';poor man%26#39;s Mai Tai';. We drink it when we don%26#39;t have all the ingredients for a real Mai Tai. We use light rum.

1. Coconut rum

2. pineapple juice

and

3. ANY fun tropical juice. POG is great.

I know coconut rum might seem cheesy but it really give it a good Hawaiian feel.

POG %26amp; Rum is delicious. But I think I would prefer it with vodka. I%26#39;ll have to try that next time.

Thanks for all the replies! I leave next Saturday and can%26#39;t wait to sit on my lanai watching the ocean and drinking whichever POG concoction I decide on :)
