Happy Joy - an extra week!

Well - we are taking two weeks the end of May, just got word from hubby%26#39;s boss that since wife wants a week for each decade, (although he is glad we have not been married for fifty years, yet) OK!!! So this means we get an additional week on Kauai and now all I have to do is see what sort of damage Hawaiian Airlines will hit me with for changing flights and whether to stay put in NS condo or move south or what...

WOW

happy happy - joy joy

Happy Joy - an extra week!

Wow, congrats on that.

I hope Hawaiian isn%26#39;t too tough on you.

Since you have 2 weeks I%26#39;d split the trip. There are many views on this, but we did it and loved it.

Happy Joy - an extra week!

Cowabunga - HA waived our change fee and we are booked for return one week later!

stunned - aghast - thrilled!!

Wait, so do you have two weeks or three? I would move to the South Shore for part of that time.

Wow, I%26#39;m jealous- have fun!

wow!! good for you! every time i%26#39;m in kauai, i always wish i had few more days, just few more days! congrats on your anniversary, enjoy your full 2 weeks. good to know hawaiian air is accommodating.

That is awesome...awefully nice of Hawaiian. They were not that nice to us when we had to try to find another flight when ATA went under.

I%26#39;d suggest moving to the south shore for that final week.

Have a great time...wish I were there!

With two weeks or is it three, you%26#39;ll have so much more time to see and do things and you%26#39;ll have the time to just RELAX!!

We stay for three weeks at a time now and split our time between North %26amp; South. Cuts down on driving time and gives us a chance to experience All of Kauai.

Too cool!

Lucky you! I just tried to change our ticket so that we could have an extra 4 days and the change fee would be $300 so I don%26#39;t think we%26#39;re going to do it. We are flying Hawaiian also, but I booked through Hotwire. Last time I make that mistake.

You can always look for a technicality to get a free change -- did the time change when you take off or land? Did the equipment change? Even a slightly different change?

In the contract of carriage each carrier has, there are these technicalities that will allow you to get a refund on a non-refunable ticket. I%26#39;ve used them to get the agent to change my flight times and dates and they had no problem with it.

Although it is a boring document, check out HA%26#39;s contract of carriage to see what it says for when non-refundable tickets become refundable or when flights may be changed without a fee.

Missmouse, that is an excellent suggestion. They did change the times-- twice! I%26#39;ll check it out.

Best of luck. The one time I made the mistake of booking air through Hotwire and the flight time changed they wouldn%26#39;t do a danged thing for me. Never again.
