Price of gas on the Big Island

Aloha! What are the gas prices like on the Big Island these days. We typically fill up at the Costco in Kona.

Price of gas on the Big Island

Last week, 4/ 25... it was $3.69 at Costco

Price of gas on the Big Island

$3.76 Hilo $3.98 to $4.06 Kona and the rest of the island.

Caution... unless your buying food at costco and driving from the airport you will burn up your savings at costco in going out of your way unless you have to fill more than 20 gallons. Since most rental cars have 18 or smaller tanks you lost money over just buying at the nearest station Thus most in Kona and Keauhou never go there..likewise Waikoloa north...

LOL: I wish I had HawaiiDan (or similar) to do my thinking for me at home :) I need a home version of TA for use everywhere, I am addicted!! Many Mahalos to you all.

When I%26#39;m on vacation, I don%26#39;t let the price of gas decide what I want to do. You may never go back to %26#39;that%26#39; island/region. You%26#39;re on vacation, explore and have fun.

We had a Sebring. Filled in Hilo. Drove back to the Hilton (North), and into Kona. 2.7 gallons. Not bad.

I agree, when on vacation it is just part of the cost of the trip.

Gas in Hawaii is about like here in Wisconsin. I paid $3.72 the other day and it has gone up since then.

There is no gas under $4.00 in Kona, except at Costco ($3.80 for regular.)

yesterday I gassed up in Keauhou shopping center for $3.98. ....it cost me almost $5 to fill my tank...this is crazy . Oh well wont have to do it again till June... proably be $5.50 by then.... ( for a tank

it%26#39;s certainly hurting the residents who have to commute from Hilo to Kona or Kohala to work in the visitor industry. People are in economic pain from the cost of gas here. It may not affect you what it costs to fill the rental car, but you may feel other more subtle effects. People in stress, for one thing. Everyone I know here is stressed out about where things are going, the gas prices, the food prices, cost of housing, medical provider crisis, as four major stressors.

Note: my friends and family aren%26#39;t what you%26#39;d call affluent, so ';everyone'; doesn%26#39;t include that segment of the population.
