Go Pilots Confirmed Asleep
4/25/08 KGMB TV Channel 9 from Honolulu 0710 am.
Just be advised that the Go pilots have now been confirmed that they were asleep.
Do not know what mainland TV has reported, but the honolulu station reported it this morning.
I know that to some, cheap flights and low prices are primary in their selection of an airline. No worries, that is their decision.
However, there is no word on Mesa/Go changing their procedures as to crew rest.
I have personally witnessed aircraft crashes, due to the effects of fatigue. Not only falling asleep, but with costey general decison making. Not a lot of room for error, and a one heck of lot of responsibility.
Probably not important to some, but it certainly is to me. And is a safety issue I will extened to to family, loved ones and friends.
Probably do not need any comments, but just wanted to pass the word on for you all to add to your own decision making.

Inter island flight safety
Thank you, Denny! For myself and my family I have no greater concern than flight safety. Period.
Having myself experienced long haul driving fatigue, I know that psychological condition where you feel like you MUST close your eyes ';just for a second.'; Fatigue where if you give in to that you are asleep in a matter of moments.
Would just like to remind anyone who thinks it%26#39;s not a big deal to overshoot an airport that we%26#39;re in the middle of the Pacific and these planes don%26#39;t carry enough fuel to go anywhere else or even to return safely if they overshoot it too far. Doesn%26#39;t matter if the plane can keep altitude without a waking pilot, once the fuel is gone it%26#39;s pau.

Wow! I%26#39;m already terrified of flying and that thought doesn%26#39;t help! There is no way that should be happening! Thanks for the warning!
