Right out your front door is great snorkeling. Aim for the rocky outcroppings. The downfall is shorebreak and waves also breaking by the rocky outcroppings. Be aware of conditions, ask the locals if unsure. This is true for most beaches, although the west side has the best snorkeling. Mauna Lahi Lahi is a good place, this is the small ';mountain'; on the beach. I%26#39;d be careful as there are no lifeguards in the area, and the surf can be dangerous at times.
