helicopter tour

anyone do the helicopter tour..we are looking at either blue hawaii helicopter tours or air kuaui...suggestions or recommendatiosn on either of these or another reputable helicopter company would be very welcomed.......and thanks all for allyour help with the zipling questions!!!!!!

Inter Island Helicopter company. They have a doors off, or on, or waterfall stop. Great company out of Port Allen which is on the west side of the island. The flight time is better than out of Lihue due to them being closer to the Napali coast line. We just flew with them last week and loved the trip.

I second Inter Island. We have been up with the twice for their waterfall tour. We had the same pilot (Luka) both times just by chance and he remembered us (hubby is an air traffic controller).

I gotta say, this is like asking ';what%26#39;s your favorite baseball team?'; Everyone has their own favorite. I went with Air Kauai twice, they were great both times, although I will say that Chuck (the owner) gives a better tour than the other pilot I flew with. And Air Kauai has a perfect safety record, which most of the others can%26#39;t say.

You just need to decide if you want to stop at a waterfall, fly with the doors off, etc. Not all tour operators offer all those things. As far as I know, Air Kauai only offers a straight tour of the island. But Chuck really made it a mystical experience.

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a great time no matter what company you go with. The island is the star, not the helicopter.

Inter-Island, out of Port Allen is just great. They are the ones who do the search and rescue for Kauai.

We just flew with Air Kauai 2 days ago and loved our tour. We had Jodi as our pilot,a retired V.veterian. The ride was smooth and so informative. We saw some dolphins swimming on the Napali coast and I asked Jodi if he could get closer for me. He flew directly above them........they were so beautiful...I would def. recommend them for a straight tour.They have an excellent safety record and they really do have the biggest windows. The entire door is all window,top to bottom. HTH.....Have a great time.....

We flew Safari last week. It was our first helicopter ride, so I don%26#39;t have much to compare it to.

The video was only $28 (paid $149 for a snorkel/boat trip in Bora Bora). However, only the first 5 minutes of our flight turned out, so we took the refund.
