Go O'ahu Card

Hi Advisors, we are very much looking forward to our first trip to Honolulu on 1st October and I have been getting great advice and suggestions from the forum. Do you think it is a good idea to purchase the Go Card and will it save us some $$ on the various excursions we plan to do, i.e Pearl Harbour, Island tour, car hire etc.

Any feedback will be very welcome.

Go O'ahu Card

We got a good value from ours last year. Really depends on what you want to do, how many days, and how well you can combine different activities in one day.

For example, one day we did the Hanauma snorkel in the morning, with pick up; got dropped off close to the marina for the lunch cat sail; cheap ride on The Bus back to Waikiki for an outrigger canoe paddle.

Another day we did the Dole Plantation and the Polynesian CC in one day via our own rental car. (It may be cheaper for you to PL your own car, than use the 1-day deal via the GoCard).

Other days we did activities with included transportation, or we self arranged. Pearl Harbor day we took a shuttle via our hotel, that was less than the cost of a cab (or even a rental car, not even including pricey hotel parking). Then used the discount for the luau. FWIW.

Katie -- the Go Card and the Entertainment Books offer some good deals ... just keep in mind that they are advertisement (hence the discounts), so don%26#39;t plan your trip around what they offer. Do what you want to do, and if there is a discount - GREAT!

I am off to Hawaii at end of October for 9 days so I just bought a 5 day one today. there is 15% off if you buy it directly from their website but the offers change from time to time. I used mine to death in New York and saved a packet. It does also help you plan your day%26#39;s as the activities featured are right up our street. I will collect mine when I get there to cut down on costs of shipping, print out the list fof offers now and start planning.
