I%26#39;ve tried all the usual online places to find flights from Honolulu to New York and so far, the price is coming in at around $600 incl tax - anyone have any tips on how to find a better deal or is this the usual rate.

that seems like a pretty good price remember ny is all the way on the east coast.it could get cheaper or it could get higher its all a crap shoot with airline tickets now a days. i paid 660.00 from north carolina to honolulu last dec for this sept they are now 50.00 higher.you really have to check everyday and check out kayak.com they give you the prices from all the airlines and it includes taxes.good luck

Just booked from EWR to HNL last week for 850 on delta. Since then the price has ton up $100. If you can get $600, go for it.
Try priceline. I did a trip to NY in Sept. $485.00
round trip to Newark. Right now $600 seems like a very good fare.

I booked a non-stop flight months ago from Newark to Honolulu for $550 rt, today that same flight goes for over $800 rt. The fuel situation is driving everything up. Good luck.
thanks to all- I ended up booking yesterday US$549 for a one-way ticket. it was a bit of a hassle as they wouldn%26#39;t take my credit card and wanted an address inside USA. even over the phone they would not authenticate. I was very lucky I have a wonderful and helpful travel agent I use in New Jersey, and she gave her address for me.
