Is this information still correct below? Do you have any to add for restaurant suggestions in this area?
Ono Hawaiian Foods (726 Kapahulu)
Kapahulu Chop Suey
Irifune (563 Kapahulu)
Rainbow Drive-In
I know they%26#39;re near the golf course and look to be %26#39;at the end%26#39; of the Ala Wai Canal on my map. Is that how you%26#39;d properly describe it to someone?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mahalo, suze
Kapahulu Ave. Restaurants
You forgot Leonard%26#39;s for malasadas after lunch....... also on Kapahulu near the freeway.
Kapahulu Ave. Restaurants
There%26#39;s also Waiola Bakery %26amp; Shave Ice at 525 Kapahulu. Many consider their shave ice the best on Oahu (better than Matsumoto and Aoki%26#39;s, my pers fav). Really smooth texture to their shave ice (very much more like sorbet) YUM
The original Waiola Store is on 2135 Waiola St.
Luv%26#39;d Ono (their lau lau is the best) and always make a stop at Leonard%26#39;s :-)
Your info is correct and yes, that%26#39;s about how I would describe the location.
Hee Hing%26#39;s (Chinese..is nearby, very good and dressier than New Kapahulu Chop Suey).
I haven%26#39;t been but I have heard good things about Pyramids Restaurant further up the street (toward the mountains).
We ate recently at a Thai restaurant. It is across the street from the supermarket (Safeway) and very close to Leonard%26#39;s and Genki sushi. It was excellent.
I%26#39;d also add Mr. Ojisan and Tokkuri-Tei.
Thanks so much everyone for your suggestions. I have yet to get myself to this particular part of Waikiki, but sounds like there are lots of places worth %26#39;investigating%26#39;. Thanks again for your help!
