Even thogh all Luau%26#39;s are over priced and dorky is there one that is much better than the others, because we are going to one anyway.

The Old Lahaina Luau is probably the best you will find. Yes they are for the most part kind of cheesy but if you go to Hawaii you probably ought to attend at least one.

Old Lahaina Luau : Most Hawaiian of them.

Feast At Lele : Most intimate but pricey.

Sheraton Luau : Most family friendly and fun to me.

I just returned from Maui and we went to Fest at Lele. It was wonderful. The food was excellent, no macaroni salad and buffet lines. It was great having our own table with a killer view. If you go just ready to enjoy yourself I don%26#39;t see how someone could have a bad time.

Old Lahaina Lu`au is not ';dorky'; at all. The dancing is excellent and shows a bit of the history of Hula. There%26#39;s no ';let%26#39;s see how much we can embarrass the tourists'; nonsense.

Old Lahaina Luau is the best. We%26#39;ve been to a few at hotels, not worth it. Feast of Lele was nice, but we still liked OLL better. Food is good, drinks are plenty, and entertainment is 1st class.

Absolutely LOVED the Feast at Lele! What a treat, no buffet lines, table service, great show, gorgeous location. That said hope to do Old Lahaina in Jan.

But you are right there are some really cheesy luau%26#39;s out there!

Another vote for OLL. Went last October and enjoyed it completely. Very well done and very classy.

I%26#39;d say HELP but I know......it%26#39;s all subjective. If I understand correctly however, the Feast at Lele is more of a Polynesian Luau, right?

OLL sticks to Hawaiian dancing/chanting except for a Tahitian number at the end. I think FaL is more all-encompassing.

I went to both Feast of Le Le and OLL-- when i went to feast of LELE it was just my husband and I and it was very intimate romantic a variety of diff%26#39;t foods we were open to trying different things and soo full by the end of the luau.

OLL we took the entire family this year0- and I loved both. I%26#39;d say OLL Is a great place to take the whole family w/ kids and feast of lele is more for couples/intimate experience alone

so depends on what you are looking for.

OLL food was incredible as well for a buffet and service was great. it%26#39;s a buffet so you do get up but it%26#39;s very well organized and they serve cocktails at your table.
